Donate Stock
The CELab invites you to make donations of stock at any time. Giving donations of appreciated stock offers you not just a charitable tax deduction, but tax savings on your capital gains. Consult your tax advisor for more information. This can be a surprisingly easy and valuable way to support the CELab.
1. Choose which company’s stock and how many shares of it you want to donate.

3. Please contact the CELab’s Grant Taylor at (575) 318-8401 to give us a heads-up about your gift of stock.

Donate from your IRA
If you have an Individual Retirement Account, and if you are more than 70 1/2 years-old, you are eligible to receive tax benefits if you transfer any gift of less than $100,000 directly from your IRA.
The transfer helps you fulfill your required minimum distribution from your IRA but is not considered part of your gross income for federal tax purposes.
Contact the financial services company that manages your IRA and ask them to make a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) to The Community Economics Laboratory from your IRA (as authorized under the federal Protecting Americans from Tax Hikes Act of 2015).
